Seit ’95 steht der britische Rapper TY am Mic. Zwischendurch machte er Ausflüge in die Spoken-Word-Poetry-Szene. TY ist aber nicht nur MC, sondern auch Perfektionist. Das macht er auf seinem aktuellen Album „Special Kind of Fool“ deutlich. Seine Lyrics sind durchdacht, der volle Sound klingt fresh und pendelt zwischen Soul und HipHop. What Up!? hat TY zum Gespräch getroffen.
Dennis Lisk, auch bekannt unter dem Namen Denyo, beehrt uns bei PARK & PLAY. Denyo ist neben Eizi Eiz Chefrapper bei den Beginnern. Jetzt tritt er unter seinem bürgerlichen Namen auf, tauscht Sneaker gegen Segelschuhe, und lässt sich wortgewandt in der Singer-Songwriter-Ecke nieder. „Suchen und Finden“ heißt sein Debüt. Hier finden sich ruhige, melancholische Stücke neben treibendem Ska und funkigen Klängen.
