Heute Abend hört Ihr bei Verstärker zunächst ein kurzes Feature zu den australischen Pub-Rockern Beasts of Bourbon, die am 27. Juli bei uns in Köln zu Gast sind.
Im Anschluss gibt es dann anlässlich der neuen Best Of Frank Black eine gute halbe Stunde Musik von den ersten Soloalben des ehemaligen Pixies-Sängers.
In der zweiten Stunde gibt es dann wie immer Neuveröffentlichungen, heute u.a. mit zwei neuen Southern Lord-Releases von Glorior Belli und Weedeater. Ausserdem auf dem Plattenteller: die neue Spoon, ein Live-Album der Black Lips und die neue King Khan.
Gegen Ende der Sendung dann wie immer Konzerttipps für die nächsten Wochen.
