Sendungsbewusstsein presents Clifford: "Music for the funky and the freaky"
Clifford plays records and discusses haggis, the resurgence of new-wave, and how disco will never die.
On Saturday April 15th, Kölncampus leaves the studio and moves to the club for one night. We're taking with us some of our favourite selectors including Glasgow refugee Clifford, who fled the horizontal rain for our Dom-haven and swapped the bagpipes against a mixture of wave, disco, house, and anything in between.
Clifford spielt "for the funky and the freaky from Detroit to Den Haag" - von verschiedensten Spielarten des House bis zu europäischen Obskuritäten mit wabernden und angenehm quietschenden Synthies sind seine Sets genauso tanzbar wie anspruchsvoll.
Sowas, aber vor allem die richtig abgedrehten Nummern aus seiner umfassenden Plattensammlung spielt Clifford in seiner Radiosendung "Fife Trax" , die zunächst auf 674.fm und nun seit einiger Zeit auf dublab.de läuft. Sein Geschmack und sein Gefühl für verschiedene Crowds spricht sich jedenfalls rum: Mall Grab, Inga Mauer, Helena Hauff, JD Twitch, Fett Burger und Mike Dunn sind nur ein paar der Hochkaräter, mit denen Clifford sich schon die Decks geteilt hat.
