...oder wie viele Lieder passen in eine Stunde. Micah P. Hinson zu Gast.
Micah P. Hinson hört am liebsten alte Musik, das Neue ist für ihn nur eine Anlehnung oder Nachahmung des Alten. Der texanische Country-Folk-Musiker ist 29, im Mai hat er sein sechstes Album „Micah P. And the Pioneer Saboteurs“ herausgebracht. Vergangene Woche war er bei uns im Studio und hat Songs vom Album für uns und Euch gespielt. Uns hat überrascht: Der kleine schmächtige Mann mit dem scharmanten Lächeln hat eine dermaßen tiefe und energische Stimme, das mag man auf den ersten Blick gar nicht glauben. Und auch dass einige seiner Songs perfekt ins Country-Klischee passen, mag man auf den zweiten Blick auch nicht glauben. Mit Hornbrille, Nike-Schuhen und Holz-Ohrringen, passt er nicht ins Klischee. Doch um das Erfüllen von Erwartungen geht es hier nicht, Micah P. Hinson wirkt authentisch mit jedem Ton und mit jedem Satz. Seine Musik sei seine Therapie, sagt er.
The Magic Numbers waren übrigens auch bei uns im Studio bevor sie später im Luxor spielen.
