Und mal wieder die Schweden. Neuste Entdeckung: Golden Kanine. Seit 2006 machen sie Musik, die wie Beirut und Andrew Bird in Post Rock verpackt klingt. Freitag kommt ihr Debütalbum "Scissors & Happiness" raus, wir stellen es euch vor.
Aus Raleigh in North Carolina kommen die Bowerbirds, die diesen Monat nach ihrem schönen Debütalbum "Hymns for a dark horse" aus dem Jahre 2008 nun ihr zweites Album "Upper Air" rausgebracht haben.
Fast gleichaltrig, zumindest was die Plattenveröffentlichungen angeht, ist die junge Singer/Songwriterin Cortney Tidwell aus Nashville, Tennessee, die mit ihrem Debüt rasend schnell zum Star der Szene avancierte und nun nach langem Warten endlich ihr zweites, schlicht "Boys" betiteltes Werk vorlegt.
Außerdem noch mit dabei: Die amerikanische Songwriterin Inara George, die ein Kammerpopalbum in Kollaboration mit dem legendären Arrangeur Van Dyke Parks herausgebracht hat und der "verschollene" Anglo-Mexicaner Rodriguez, dessen Schaffenswerk nun im remasterten Digipaks neuveröffentlicht wurde.
