und dazu noch verdammt rotes Fleisch.
Melophon blickt zurück auf das gestrige Konzert der Post-Country-Band Califone um Songwriter Tim Rutili. Die Wurzeln dieser außergewöhnlichen Band liegen weit zurück in den 90ern, als Bands sich aus den Resten von Grunge und Indie das Beste nahmen und es mit schweren Blues und kantigem Country vermengten. Eine dieser Bands, Red Red Meat , veröffentlichete ihre Platten auf dem zu der Zeit arg ins Trudeln gekommene Sub Pop Label, und war auf diesem schwierigen Wege auch nur Insidern ein Begriff. Aus der Asche von Red Red Meat erhob sich Califone, aber auch der andere Songwriter RRMs, ebenfalls ein Tim (Hurley), schaffte es mit seiner Nachfolgeband Sin Ropas, eine erweiterte Form des Blues zu kreieren.
