mit Asobi Seksu und Sonic Youth
In der heutigen Sendung stehen zwei New Yorker Bands im Mittelpunkt.
Timo Weber traf letzte Woche die Band Asobi Seksu die im Vorprogramm der Editors spielten. Die Band um Sängerin und Keyboarderin Yuki Chikudate loten den Dreampop ala Lush und My Bloody Valentine neu aus.
Außerdem widmen wir uns einer der einflussreichsten Bands der letzten Dekaden - Sonic Youth. Seit nunmehr über 25 Jahren, werden sie nicht müde immer wieder Ihren eigenen Sound von New York Noiserock zu definieren.
Weiterhin gibt es natürlich Neuvorstellungen aus allen möglichen musikalischen Gefilden (u.a. von Beach, Kinderzimmer Productions, Happy Mondays, Young Marble Giants, The Concretes, The Experimental Pop Band, The Broken Family Band, Menomena, King Khan & His Shrines, Blonde Redhead)
