The Allophons puzzlen Samples

The Allophons sind C. Schulz und F. X. Randomiz und veröffentlichen auf dem Kölner Label Sonig.
Und basteln heute in der Sendung ein Puzzle aus einer Million Sampleteilchen.
Das hat mit traditionellem Sampling wenig zu tun, ihre Arbeit ist viel kleinteiliger, und eher Mash-Up-Technik - blos nicht so grob.
Durch das Zusammensetzen so vieler kleinster Samples wird die Erinnerung an der Nase herumgeführt, alles scheint bekannt oder doch nicht, und aus den verschiedensten Ecken gleichzeitig, das perfekt irritierende Dejà -Vu;
bis der Zuhörer sich nicht mehr sicher ist, ob Elvis Presley und Duke Ellington nicht doch in einer Band gespielt haben.
Die entstehenden "Stücke" orientieren sich an Themen, heute nehmen sich The Allophons unter anderem Louis Armstrong und Motown an.
