Dazu im Gespräch: Timor Kaul
Wo kommt der Techno her und wo liegen die Wurzeln des House? Warum ist es nicht immer das primäre Ziel, "Mainstream" zu werden und wieso leben und arbeiten manche Menschen vorwiegend dann, wenn andere schon schlafen? Und ist DJ sein überhaupt eine richtige Arbeit? Und wenn ja, seit wann?
Diese und andere Fragen besprechen wir mit Timor Kaul, der kurz vor dem Abschluss eines langjährigen und aufwendig betriebenen Dissertationsprojekts steht, in welchem es grob um die Frage nach der Lebenswelt Techno/ House geht. Unzählige Feldstudien, Interviews mit DJs und Produzenten, ergänzt von einem umfassenden Theoriegebilde erheben Timor Kaul mittlerweile zu einem Experten auf diesem Gebiet. Wir freuen uns darauf, über den Stand des Projektes und generelle Begrifflichkeiten aufgeklärt zu werden!
